Christopher Monk attended the annual FishBase Symposium and FishBase Consortium meeting, held this year in Tervuren, Belgium at the Royal Museum for Central Africa.

The Marine Biology Group attended the International Conference on Fish Telemetry 8 in Sete France from the 11-16 of June. We presented two posters, introducing a new software for visualizing telemetry in 3d, and covering our analysis of cod diets and personality.

Alkor cruise Al594

May 30, 2023

Christopher Monk joined the second leg of the AL594 cruise, onboard the research vessel Alkor, in the Baltic Sea. As a research group new to the Baltic Sea, this was a great opportunity to get some hands on experience in the ecosystem and evaluate several capture methods and study sites.

Theses projects available

Interested in doing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. thesis in the Marine Behavioural Ecology group? Data-driven projects on high-resolution fish behaviour, and lab-based behavioural experiments are currently available to start. In 2024 field based projects will also begin. Please get in touch for more details.

Marie Ritter starts an internship

Marie Ritter has started a 6 week internship. The internship will cover data analysis of animal movement, acoustic telemetry fundamentals, and range testing in the field. Welcome Marie!
